We would love to share a small part of our story with you, about how Angel Wings Foundation started. In early 2007, we were running low on hope. We had experienced infertility and then a miscarriage, and it felt like a dark time. During that time my husband, John, named and gifted me a non-profit, “Angel Wings Foundation”. He told me that this non-profit was for me to spread hope and support for those who were in tough spots. I knew what he meant, those people who, like me, don’t want to ask for help. Those people who are hurting quietly but smiling on the outside. He knew that if I focused my energy on helping others, I wouldn’t be able to dwell on my own sadness. We’ve come a long way over the years, and it’s been rewarding and extremely humbling to be a part of so many lives. I hope to continue to share stories with you of what AWF is up to and give you more personal insight into who we are and what we do. We are beyond blessed to have our two healthy kids who inspire us to “help those who need it the most and expect it the least while leaving a legacy of purposeful giving”. Take a moment and smile at someone today, you never know what they are going through and it may just cheer you up too! — Holly
