November 13th is Random Acts of Kindness Day.
November 13th is Random Acts of Kindness Day.
This month we encourage you to write a gratitude list in the morning or evening to recognize things for which you are thankful. Stop, breath, enjoy the moments, and then write them down and/or share them with others.
Help students and teachers by purchasing extra school supplies and donating them to your local school. It is a wonderful time to donates socks and supplies to local organizations before the weather turns cold. Help others prepare for the winter months by donating items that they can use to keep warm.
Seek opportunities to give an unexpected treat. Send dessert to a family while out to eat. Fill a kindness jar with candy for another family or friend. Take homemade baked items to a friend and neighbor.
Make kindness stones and leave them for others to discover.
Can you go out of your way to cheer on others throughout the month of June? Cheer on a teammate or a friend by encouraging them with motivational words and actions. Cheering on others can have a bigger impact than you might expect.
Let someone know you are thinking of them. Send them a card or a note with words of encouragement letting them know how special they are.
Participate in Kindness for Cooper. In memory of the kindness Cooper Howat shared with the world, we challenge everyone, especially kids to perform some or all of the random acts of kindness. (please see attached Kindness for Cooper Week Flyer).
Be kind to the Earth. Pick up litter. Return a cart to the store. Collect recyclables. Upcycle items to others in need.
Open the door for others, let someone go in front of you in line, focus on others around you and act kindly. Follow the golden rule.
